I'm stunned after reading this article.

A senior White House official on Tuesday admitted he was floored by the news that Singapore's prime minister earned five times more than US President George W. Bush.

"I'm going to emigrate and run for office in Singapore," the official said on condition he be identified only as "a senior administration official who sits in disbelief after reading that story."

On Monday, the Singapore government had announced a fresh 25.5 percent pay hike for Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, boosting his salary to 2.05 million dollars per year.

Bush gets paid 400,000 dollars per year for doing his job, according to the White House.

Combined with personal investment income, he and his wife Laura reported 618,694 dollars in taxable income in the 2005 fiscal year. They had to pay 187,768 dollars in federal taxes.

But maybe Bush shouldn't feel so bad. The Singaporean's paycheck is eight times fatter than Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's.

Ytd met up wif my sec sch frens. Went to marina bay for steamboat, it's been very long since i last been there for steamboat. After that went to catch a movie rob-b-hood. It's nice show not to be missed and the baby starring in the show is damn cute!

Top story: Public Transport Council approves 1.7% fare increase for bus, trains

From October, adult EZ-link fares for buses and trains will increase by 1 to 3 cents, which amounts to an overall fare hike of 1.7 percent. Senior citizen off-peak EZ-link fares will correspondingly increase by 1 cent. There are no increases in case fares for buses, single trip tickets for trains, child and student fares and monthly student and NS concession passes.
In August, public transport operators SMRT Corp and SBS Transit applied to the Public Transport Council for these increases.
The Council says that given the positive economic outlook, it assessed that there were no "extenuating circumstances" to vary or reject the proposal. It has approved a "tiered increase," depending on the distance travelled so that those who make short trips or transfers will pay less.
The Council added that of all the bus and train trips, six in ten will see either no increase, or an increase of 1 cent. This also works out to be a quarter of all commuters who will not see any increase at all. The government has pledged to help needy families adjust to the increase.
In a news release, the government said it has lined up the schemes that are available, including the Citizens' Consultative Committees ComCare Fund. This is part of the ComCare Fund launched last July to ensure that needy Singaporeans are not left behind. Since then, $1.95m have been disbursed, which helped about 12,500 cases.
The two public transport operators have also contributed $1m for Public Transport Vouchers, which will also be available through the CCCs. Each voucher is worth $20 and can be used to buy or top up EZ-link cards, or to buy monthly concession passes.
The National Trade Unions Congress (NTUC) has also come up with $1.6m in "NTUC Care and Share Vouchers" to help union members from low-income families to cope with increases in utilities and transport costs.

Time really flies and 3 months has passed. Now im enjoying my leave while waiting for my posting. Let me recall wat i did recently... Went clubbing with annie and her fren and my platoon mates on last wednesday, it was awesome and enjoying. But some ugly action took place which makes me almost wanna hammer someone, luckily nothing happened. Overall it was amazing to see the other side of my mates.
Then the rest of the days until now, i have been gaming - day and night. Hmm... kinda no life, juz like the gd old days. But seriously, i really got nothing to do. Most of my buddies and friends are busy with their life - from working to serving their liability. Another thing is i wanna save up too, spent more than my allowance ever since im enlisted. A couple of things that i wanna do but i think i cant fulfill them for the time being.

One more month to go before POP, im quite excited about it. For the past few weeks, it had been a very hectic period for me. Almost all the major events were packed after one another. As for now, the following weeks will be very relaxing as compared to the past weeks.

Everything is going up again, everything is getting expensive. First on the list, the increased taxi fare. There's alot of changes to the new implementation. The flag-down fare increase up by 10 cents to $2.50, and the fare for Mercedes and London limousine taxis will go up by 20 cents to S$2.80. For trips up to 10 kilometres, the charge will be 10 cents for every 210 metres travelled, while for trips above 10 kilometres, it will be 10 cents for every 175 metres travelled. The peak hour surcharge will be increased from S$1 to S$2 and the morning peak hours redefined as Monday to Friday, 7am to 9.30am.

Secondly, SBS and SMRT has applied to Public Transport Council to increase the bus and train fares. If the proposals are accepted by PTC, then the fares will be increase by october.

Living standards are going up together with the living expenses. While everything else is going up, there's only one thing that will not increase - that will be the salary/wages of all workers. Im fed up with these changes but what can i do... suck thumb and live with it.

The LAN party held on last friday was a success, it lasts till sunday morning. The 1st day will be setting up the network and stuffs, the worse thing is lixiang's lappy was infected with spywares, malwares, trojans and some viruses. Oh man... spent hours helping him to clear up all the shit... After that, gaming session starts... and through out the session, im like half dead... tired like hell.

Then sunday met lao, zhihao and Joyce for dinner at No signboard restuarant. Dinner was sumptuous and finger licking good. After that, went to Kbox till morning. Oh man... really freaking tired, i dozed off a couple of times and eventually fall asleep.

This week, got a few plans. Fred and hua asked me to go Mos tomorrow and i think i wont join them ba, wanna save up on sat :P Next will be dbl O on thur, still thinking wanna go or not. Then sat going dbl O, it will be the nite which there is no tomorrow.

Didnt blog last nite due to the fact that im totally exhausted after all the fun i had during the staff party. Oh man, i really had a great time at there. It's like very long since i had such wonderful time with a big group of ppl. We started drinking when we arrive at the venue, and the games commence when all have arrived, following up will be dinner and lastly will be the lucky draw. This time im hoping to get a better price but too bad, i won a multi cooker and a btl of wine which is a 68th price. Anyway those top few prices are for the full timers. So im contend with what i got - something that is useful to me.

Woohooo... Finally my confinement is all over! After such a long period, it has come to an end. And now im craving for seafood, sushi and many more. Haha, and i will be broke very soon, i had already overspent. Moreover, there's a few plans and stuff.
1st to come - Company annual staff party which falls on today. I think i wont spend much, everything is cover by the company. There's a lucky draw too, and im in the draw. Lets see wat i will get today for the lucky draw.
2nd - Im quitting on thursday, manager allow me to go. So im a freebird soon, catch me if u can.
3rd - Lan party this weekend at daryn's hse. His mum will be going overseas this thursday, so its time to create havoc.
4th - Beginning of june, im planning to go party.

Woot! One more week and my confinement will be all over. Yeah baby, cant wait anymore, im craving for alot of stuffs. So peeps, pls be kind enough to treat me to some gd food (izzit a deal?) Hehe. Oh yes! Class gathering falls on this week, this time will be having bbq. Quite some time didnt meet up wif old friends, there will be alot of things to catch up on. Then next week will be a exciting, wonderful and fabulous, 1st - confinement over, 2nd - company will be throwing a staff party, 3rd - waiting for LAN party, 4th - time to quit and enjoy, have fun & create havoc.

Staff party will be held at sentosa, it's been very long since i last been there. There will be couple of things on the house, drinks, dinner and lucky draw. Im wondering im in the draw or not, really wish to win something this time round before i quit.

Today, it's xueting's bday, happy bday gal. Will be going over to her celebration and so far i will be alone - daryn will be working today. Luckily i know a few of her friends but not very close, so in the end im alone again...

Sigh... im contradicting myself again. Why am i always in this state? I guess it will happen whenever i gotta make a decision. Oh man... it's hard to be decisive, and im always afraid of regretting in future. Now, i gotta make my mind up whether to slog my guts out again for cash or to relax myself more and earn less. Everyday after work, how i wish i could sit back and relax rather than slogging so hard.

Had been busy and slogging my guts out for work. I dun really have the time to relax and enjoy myself, and i hardly sleep well. Getting sick of the confinement... left with 47 days more to go... its like a very long journey to reach the destination.

I missed those gd old days where all of us go and chilled out together (Dun u guys think so???). So im gonna ask all of us out once again and enjoy ourselves to the max. I wonder how it will be this time round...

I found this article very useful for those who wanna lose weight. Therefore i would like to share it here.

Rule #1: Eat 5 meals a day

Researchers found that men who ate 4 or more times a day had half the risk of becoming overweight compared with those who ate 3 times or less. This doesnt mean 3 feasts and two 900 calorie "snacks".

Rule #2: Fill up on fibre

Fibre is the best food u can eat when ur trying to lose weight - it slows ur rate of digestion, which keeps u feeling full longer and reduces sugar cravings.

Rule #3: Put a limit on starch

Cap ur intake of the most carbohydrate-dense foods - such as grains and potatoes. Always eat the highest-fibre, least-processed versions of these foods - whole-wheat breads, pastas and cereals; brown rice instead of white.

Rule #4: Dont count calories

Have some protein with every meal. Consume a serving or two of high-quality protein - yogurt, chesse, milk, beef, turkey, chicken, fish, pork, eggs and nuts. By replacing starches with fat - which takes longer to digest - you will stay full longer and eat less.

Rule #5: Rise and dine

Dont skip breakfast. Research found that men who skip breakfast are 4 1/2 times more likely to be obese than those who dont. Eating breakfast is like putting kindling on the fire of ur metabolism. Make sure u eat within 90 minutes of waking.

41 days had past, and im still on confinement... when will i make it to 100 days. Peeps mark this date - 22th May 2006, the day im free from the confinement and the beginning of the feast. I cant hold on any longer... i had been losing weight ever since i had recovered, and i will definitely lose even more weight when the 100th day is over.

Have been working 4 days straight and im tired. Every night i cant sleep well, my mind like cant stop thinking - juz cant fell asleep. Really need to enjoy myself, have been working and slogging hard to meet my needs.

Tml will be releasing the exam results and the FYP result as well. Feeling kinda worry... i wonder how my IC results will be and most importantly... my FYP result. Good luck to me...

Went to fred's place to celebrate his bday early. Too bad i cant eat anything from the buffet... nvm i know fred will treat me when i can start to eat those delicacies. Hehe... am i rite fred?
After that, we went to DXO - hua's fren can get tix for us and there's a event over there. We reach there quite late and it's already past 12.
The place was quite small and plus the crowd = crampy n stuffy.
Sweat like hell - the dance floor like it's not air-condition.
Music was fine but can be better.
Overall i had fun over there and i enjoyed myself.

Fark man... im more or less screwed. I think my viva presentation is screwed up and to make it worse, my supervisor say that my report hasnt well done - not even up to the grade D... WTF! He further adds on by saying, the report will be sent to external markers. And they will question him if he pass my report... seriously WTF! I dunno he's trying to bullshit or wat, or maybe he's trying not to lose face - lose face in the sense, his supervisee did not score well under his supervision. This really makes me hate him more... ARGH! Wat's more, before he left the room, he say to me this "We will try to help you, and most importantly is u gotta help urself."
When i think back when he told me this at this moment, i doubt that he really mean it.

Now im thinking whether i had chosen the wrong project or i didnt take into consideration how tough it will be before proposing this project or it's juz bad luck to have this supervisor. ARGH! The more i think abt it, the more fed up i will be. Why muz it happen in this critical moment, when the next day will be IC exam and the following day will be the deadline to submit the grades for FYP.

Today went to the polyclinic to remove my stitches on my thigh. I have waited more than 2 hrs for the whole process, the longest will be waiting for consultation. There was alot of people waiting to see the same doctor... kaoz... blame it that i went there late. The removal of the stitches was very fast and i dun feel pain at all. After that, i went home straight for lunch. Thats abt for today...

Ever wondered have i gone missing for the past few days? Actually, im hospitalised for 11 days. Yup, u heard me... 11 days. The doctor say that i had a virus infection that causes the rashes on my whole body. It could be cause by a virus, a drug or by food. Well, the doctor say that the cause is most likely to be a virus. The best part is there a few different doctor came to inspect on my condition and i had to go thru so many tests. In total i went thru 7 blood tests, 2 eye screening, x-ray and an extraction of a piece of tissue from my thigh.

Now i gotta go back for follow ups, 1st will be removing the stitches on my thigh, appointment with the dermatologist and the gastro doctor. The worst part will be i gotta change my diet and avoid eating this n tat for 3 months and i gotta stop drinking alcohol totally for 6 months - as for this i gotta confirm with my gastro doctor 1st. It gonna be hell for me... will i be able to resist all the temptation?

Nowadays nothing really interest me at all, my life has became dull day by day, practically 'rotting' at home after work. Finally the torment is over... after submitting the FYP report. Frankly speaking, this FYP will be the first work that i had put in so much effort in it to get it done. Now its over and im awaiting for the viva (presentation) and after that i will see how well are my grades.

Now life will never be the same, there will be a few things awaiting for me to fulfill them. And i wonder will i have the energy and strength to complete them. What im thinking now is that i will give up in some stuffs that it will never come true. Lets see i can brave through all odds and make it to the end of the road...

Finally i had free a burden off my shoulder, which is my FYP project. Submitted the project and now working on the report. Hmm i dont really have any idea how to start... really exhausted n stress up. The past 2 weeks was like hell especially last week, i was so anxious to get my project done. Every single thing im rushing it the last minute, in the end, i din really finish what i intend to do and what my supervisor advise me to do. Sigh... nvm abt it, it's over... Now im so freaking exhausted, the weather is freaking me out, everything is not right at all. I feel like escaping from reality to a place where i can find peace...

Dec 23 - Went to cappage plaza party world to celebrate wailing's bday. Joel and i bought a necklace for her, luckily she loved it. She opened the present and worn after that, u can see how much she love it. We chilled until 12am then went hm. I can see that she had a gd time over there, i had a gd time as well =)

Dec 24 - Things happened so suddenly ard me, i went totally blank... almost knock myself out. Spoilt my mood during this festive season. I would like to apologise to those ppl who went out wif me - i showed them attitude.
Went Zouk to celebrate xmas, intially wanna go MOS but it was very crowded - dun wanan queue up for hrs. Zouk wasnt that crowded, quite happening... had fun over there.

Went out with zhihao to do some shopping. Quite some time din really buy any new clothings for myself, maybe treat it as buying them for Xmas or Chinese New Year. Was at Orchard looking ard/shopping, it was really crowded especially when it started to rain. I wonder any familiar ppl saw me there... nvm it's crowded - the chance is very low.
I saw two t-shirts, adidas sling bag but didnt buy them. Especially the adidas bag... i hesitate too much, i saw it on tuesday until now i havent buy it - so who wanna sponser me hehe... In the end i got for myself some famous amos cookies and a jeans frm M industrie. Zhihao got for himself a wallet n a levi's jeans - he's rich man... when will u treat me again ?

Recently the weather wasnt gd at all - cant see the sun, the sky always cloudy, windy, cooling and raining. Although its a very nice weather to sleep, but it lasts like at least for the past 3 days. Its making me quite moody, when i wake up the next morning and it rains, it really turn me off.

Suddenly, i felt numb on almost everything. Maybe its the weather that spice this feeling up. Sometimes i feel that what im doing is totally a waste of effort. What i give out, im not getting it back, or maybe others dun really appreciate it. It makes me feel i deserve to do all this things...

Updates on saturday:

Went to phuture/zouk to have fun, destress myself and to check out zouk's renovation. Not much of changes to zouk n phuture, juz a little spacious. Phuture was not as packed as be4... maybe it's becoz it was saturday. I was told that saturday wasnt a gd day to go phuture or zouk, the music is not as gd as friday. But zouk got a guest dj in the house - a japanese dj playing house music all nite. It was pretty crowded, the dance floor full house, lotsa babes n hunks and i saw a group of japanese gals... hehehe... maybe it was the dj that had lure the gals here. Although i dun really like house, but i love the atmosphere n vibe and i enjoy the nite.

Yesterday was a marvellous night. Went to dine at my work place to celebrate my bday. Lotsa ppl turn up, i feel really honoured. Afterwards, went to a new environment... visited a chill out bar which is bar stop. Its a really nice place which reminds me of my previous work place. At least im able to overload and im safe for now - able to graduate on time =) Anyway my effort didnt went into waste, but all these efforts are last minute work. Haha im like this - only study/revise during exams are near. Nvm abt it, its all over and im happy with my grades.

Now doing IHP project(FYP) at school, going back to school only 2 days. So i will be kinda free but mostly i will be working during this free days. But when term starts, i doubt i will be that free, i have to overload one more elective. So i gotta make full use of this few weeks to rush on my IHP project. If not im doom, this elective has assignments and the weightage is very high, cant afford to screw it up and neither my IHP project.

All the sudden i feel that my life is getting stressful. Especially this week, although it's the start of the week, i can feel it's coming. First, i met my supervisor today, i'm doing IHP and i'm doing sumthing not related to my major. I'm allocated to do an E-commence website (which i'm not good at ~ becuz of programming is needed).
And the reason that i gotta do E-commence website is that my grades aint any good (thats wat my supervisor told me). He further adds on telling me not to do other projects, the reason is it's risky to do other projects and E-commence website is easier to pass. I can take his comments as an advice... Now i'm think whether to take up this project or not - tough decision...

2ndly, i juz finish presenting my DB assignment and i know that i did quite well - should get a grade B. Now 1 drop, more to go.

3rdly, WISP final assignment. Last week lesson was cancelled and i dont know wat gotta do for this assignment. I heard that i need to do an essay of 400 words and i'm lazy to find out wat's is needed to be done.

4thly, next week will be WSAS and SS lab test. And i know nothing about it... QLA tutorial gotta pass up very soon, it has a weightage of 20% of the module (if i'm not wrong).

Lastly, exams is drawing nearer n nearer, i'm not prepare, still slacking, still playing, still having fun, know shit about all the modules i'm taking.

Yesterday was a great day to go to the beach. The weather was sunny & fine, the water is calm and forever salty. Went with a few frens and some joined later. Played volleyball, soccer, swimming and sun-tanning. Afterward went to have dinner at Breeks. Yummy... the food was finger licking. Quite sometime didnt dine in restaurant, so gotta eat some nice food. Oh yea, took some snap shots too, i will post it when i get it from my fren.

This year, lao organise chalet for his b'day again. This time the chalet wasnt any better than previous year - much smaller. Anyway it was fun afterall, i guess all of us enjoyed.

1st nite, the drinking session was the killer. This time round, i'm not the killer that make ppl drunk. But this time, i became a medic. Those who were in the list - lao, jian hong, joyce, stephanie, zw.

Through out the stay, i didnt sleep much. Busy being a medic, drinking, bbq and gaming. Next time got chalet, gotta bring lap top, set up wireless lan and gaming all nite. It keeps u awake and give u excitement as time flies.

Hey hey hey, it's been a while since i has blog. Anyway cant blog nowadays, no connection and desktop kinda spolit. Thats why u cant see me online so often... Most likely getting my connection back in a week time. But i need to fix my pc 1st, it's been a problem since a long time. I guess u all will be wondering wat i'm doing the past few weeks... Life is slightly bad nowadays, somemore no connection... time is hard to get by. So most of the time i will be working, at home gaming or watch TV. Today isnt a good day for me. Woke up late for lecture, so i skip it. Then went down to NP to find benson and wait for the rest to come. Had a round of game before heading for lunch with 9 ppl. Straight after lunch, benson was eager to return back to the room to continue the gaming session.

As promised, i'm back.

Finally today was the last paper, have been waiting for this day to come. I had been like struggling to focus myself just to concentrate on the exams. Getting distracted and lost of interest were always the factors, but it's the past... now i'm able to catch my breath and throw off some of my stress.

Some thoughts have been circulating in my mind, therefore i like to let it out. Let me start off on my work, had been working there for ard 4-5 months... doing the same old shit all the time... always runner - i'm sick of it. Although i tell myself this, i'm still working there it because i'm earning a living over there. The people over there treat me reasonably well, that why i'm still staying put.

There has been a drastic change in my life. The journey that i have walked was so dreadful for me to endure myself and i'm still going through the after-effects. How i wish it was a dream and if possible i wish i wont be waking up from it, but i'm like trying to avoid it(thats not what i want.) Although i had been waiting forlornly for a change or even a end to it, i know it wont happen. Day to day, i will somehow worry about some stuffs. And most of the time i lead my life aimlessly but i had learn some important lessons. And i began to understand the reasons behind them, therefore i'm not longer have any aversion over it. Money matters are the main consent of mine, always having trouble over it. Blame it on my rush and stupidity actions that i have to worry about how i'm gonna pay the insurance premium monthly. My mum somehow always will bring up this matter, and i'm lost of words to quarrel back. There's a number of stuffs that i wish to own but it's like out of reach. Thats some constraints that i face but i will definitely make my way to reach out for it.

I have make up my mind, i wont bother anymore things before i have stabilize my life.

This week seem to be very hectic for me, have to rush my assignment (still stuck in some part involving programming), competition, work... really very tired now... Anyway today was the 1st day of the competition, didnt score well but won two matches and came along an injury on my knee.

Juz read a reply from my mentor, nothing much of a gd news after all... there is 3 ways i can head, 1st change to E-commence as major, 2nd is to hope that i'm able to do IHP during semester 6 and overload a Networking module and lastly graduate without any major(thats not wat i want at all). If all not successful, then i shall waste around 4-5 months to get my major.

I come to realise that i'm facing one problem that affects my studies. That is i will not be able to graduate by semester 6 if i choose to major in network computing. I should have approach my mentor earlier rather than now... now is like too late for it. I have only two choice, one is insist in majoring in networking or major in E-commence. My main priority is to graduate in semester 6 and if i choose to major in E-commence, i havent choose my internship project selection and this project will start in semester 5. I juz hope that i will hear gd news from my mentor asap. What i can do now is to blame myself for being forgetful and lazy...

Spent the weekend at marcus's chalet, coz he's holding his celebration there. The first nite was really crazy and enjoyable. All of us were having fun, laughter and doing many crazy stuffs. So much fun that i didnt really slp much. Overall, it was well organise by marcus which make us (the guest) enjoy throughout.

After all the fun, time to get back to work. Many things still left undone, like the SA assignment (not completed yet), PM folder, preparation for LAN assignment, Open House (still havent finalise anything yet). Some plans like after the Open House (wanna open a chalet for whole class), organising a class gathering with my sec school friends (havent even inform anyone yet), wanna upgrade my PC (giving my alot of problem nowadays and the graphics card is failing gradually).

Hmm... really dun know wat to write. Have been slacking from the start of semester, now assignment are coming up in a week time. I can feel that my stress level is going up... whats more that my friends and i are organise a booth in NP open house. This is a totally new experience for me and the way that the open house is going to be is totally different... it's like a funfair. The main problem is that the school will tax the profit of all stores 40%, 20% goes to the needy student fund and the other 20% will be accumulated to be the prize money for the team that has the highest profit. So the point is that how are we gonna get back the 40% that is tax off and how to make more sales.

Initially it was a total turn off. 1st, went to dine at sake sushi wif laos, fred, benson and eve. After tat no plans at all, coz clubs that we wish to go will be very X. Then follow eve's fren to a KTV pub... wtf... when reach there... totally turn off, at least xmas was better - rave party but no ppl. We decided to leave and rush down to MS by cab. 2nd turn off... we countdown on a cab... wtf... then i crack a joke, asking the driver to give discount hehe... 3rd turn off... queue up to enter cheeky but the farking cover charge was $50... wtf. Then finally decided to join cb aya (marcus) at SHIN 8. WOOT... the place ROX man, the crowd ROX, the babes ROX... YEAH ! Didnt expect it will turn out so gd, found a place that we can chilled out. I chilled too much and end up didnt turn up for work. LOL, confirm tml tio fark by my asst.manager.

Sticky weekend

My weekends were burned but still it's worth it. At least got some extra cash. One thing bad is easy to get sweaty and sticky but most of the time sit there do nothing, relax one corner, play with the walky-talky, chat with ppl (especially cheryl, click with her quite well.) Hmm.... time for me to go to bed, tired and sleepy... zZzZ

Saturday night fever

Yesterday was quite enjoyable, the atmosphere was really great, dance floor was fully packed with ppl, the music was great too. But the problem is there's two DJ in the house, switching here n there... RnB then to retro n top 40's then back to RnB. Anyway it was really great, enjoyable n fun but short of a few ppl from my side.

This week was quite hectic for me... busy wif assignments and test. The most hateful one will be OOP, pretty hard to do. With the help of many 'shi fu', manage to move towards the ending. But need to understand those logic behind, coz the fuking walkthrough cant bring hard copy of ur codes in... @#**$*% Then the assignment I enjoy doing will be the ECID assignment, ahaha maybe I know how to do thats why I enjoy doing it. This assignment got to do very 'power de ma', if not cant pull my overall grades to 'A'. Hehe no choice, coz so far I havent got a 'A' for any module... sob sob... so got to work very hard, cant be lazy anymore.

As for today, i'm going to ChinaBlack. So long nvr go chiong and i missed the atmosphere, missed the party fever. So ChinaBlack... here i come. Chiong argh !!! Lol
